Kat Dennings, born Katherine Victoria Litwack on the 13th of June, 1986 at Bryn Mawr Pennsylvania was the first child of Ellen and Gerald Dennings. Ellen Dennings is her mom. Ellen worked as a speech and poetry therapist. Gerald Dennings works as a molecular druggist and professor at the university. Dennings is the youngest of five children, and grew up in an all-Jewish household. Dennings attended homeschooling, and only attended school briefly. When she started acting at an early age, she realized that homeschooling was the best option. In the age of 9, she had started doing commercials. Following high school graduation, the family relocated from the city of Los Angeles to pursue acting. Kat Dennings was her name as she began auditioning.
