Sharon Yvonne Stone is the only child from Dorothy Lawson (an accountant) and Joseph William Stone II, a tool-and-die manufacturer and former employee in a manufacturing plant. Her birth date was the 10th of March, 1958, in Meadville Pennsylvania. Michael, Kelly and Patrick are her brothers and sisters. Stone was considered academically gifted when she was a kid and started the second grade when she was five. Saegertown Senior High School, Saegertown Pennsylvania is where she graduated in 1975. She also competed for Saegertown's Miss Pennsylvania beauty pageant, winning Miss Crawford County. Stone was moved into New Jersey in 1977 with her aunt, to take on a job as an actress. In just a few months, she signed up with Ford Modeling Agency. While in Europe Stone spent a full year living in Milano as well as Paris. Stone was unhappy with the model industry in Europe she decided to focus on acting instead. At the age of 20, she appeared in Woody Allen's "Stardust Memories," the film which got mixed praises.
